In response to the coronavirus pandemic and recognizing the continually changing needs and demands presently placed upon the veterinary field and all staff, the Provet Cloud team is proud to introduce Viivi Health Telemedicine services. Our team is working hard to develop and provide innovative solutions for our clinics. With this in mind, telemedicine services have been made available to support our clinics in being able to continue to provide a gold standard of medical care while protecting the health and safety of staff and clients. We understand and recognize the increased challenges veterinary practices, hospitals, and staff are all similarly facing and working through right now, and offer our sincerest gratitude for the tireless dedication.
Current Provet Cloud customers are able to immediately use the service and can utilize the following support documents to complete the set-up process:
The service will be an added-cost addition for Provet Cloud customers starting July 1, 2020. Users can continue to use the service free of charge until then. If you are currently not a Provet Cloud customer, you are able to download the free 30-day trial by accessing the link provided below to take advantage of the Viivi Health Telemedicine service.
The Viivi Health Telemedicine application facilitates remote consultations via video and chat calls. In the application, the veterinarian has a visual, voice, and chat connection with the client and vice versa during the session. The use of the service does not require any specialized equipment other than the ability to connect to the internet and a visual/audio connection. The service can be accessed through either a web browser or a mobile phone.
Viivi Health Telemedicine service is integrated with the appointment booking and consultation functions of Provet Cloud. A link to access the remote consultation connection will automatically be added to the client’s appointment confirmation message, either by SMS or email, for the client to use. A veterinarian will join the session by clicking the designated button in the Provet Cloud consultation view. It is possible to have the client and the Provet Cloud notes view open at the same time within the remote connection.
The Viivi Health Telemedicine application can be used on any desktop computer, as well as on Android and iOS tablets and phones, using the device’s web browser to open the Viivi telemedicine connection. The remote consultation confirmation message contains both an access URL and room ID/PIN number. Once the room ID/PIN number is confirmed, the client will automatically be connected to the meeting room, initiating the video consultation. The application is supported in multiple languages, based on the language settings of the user’s browser. If the language found is not supported, the system will default to English. As the service is still in a beta version, please expect future updates to occur as we continue to work to improve the feature.
