The Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital to upgrade and digitise their clinical operations with Provet Cloud

London, England and Cambridge, England, November 4th, 2022: Provet Cloud, the cloud-based practice management solution from Nordhealth, announced today that The Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital (QVSH), part of the University of Cambridge, will convert its practice management software to Provet Cloud to run and manage its veterinary hospital.

Used by more than 20,000 veterinary professionals around the world, Provet Cloud provides veterinary professionals with the ability to spend more time with their patients, reduce administrative errors caused by manual entry, integrate all of their digital tools into a single streamlined system, and enhance the customer experience - ensuring better health and clinical outcomes.

“We are excited about the opportunity to work with a world-renowned institution that is dedicated to educating future veterinary professionals with the latest technology,” says Scott Goodsir-Smyth, VP of Growth at Provet Cloud. “This partnership has significant potential to improve how veterinary care is delivered not only today, but in the future. As our partnership grows, we’re thrilled to be able to work with the University and its world-class students and clinicians to continue improving and shaping the future of veterinary healthcare and education."

As a purpose-built veterinary referral hospital, QVSH chose Provet Cloud to upgrade their practice management system as part of an overarching transformation initiative to streamline processes and improve workflows. Provet Cloud’s open Application Programming Interface (API) integration was a key factor in the decision, providing the university with the essential ability to integrate with multiple technologies, partners and applications, including labs and imaging. Provet Cloud’s extensive experience in the veterinary education sector, not just in the UK but also throughout Europe, solidified this decision.

Provet Cloud software will be used by over 200 teaching staff, including veterinarians and nurses, as well as cohorts of veterinary students undertaking their clinical training each year. As students finish their studies, Provet Cloud will provide hands-on experience of how an integrated technology solution can improve visibility and data sharing, the efficiency of operations and patient outcomes in veterinary care – benefiting the veterinary staff, their patients and clients.

“We're excited to be partnering with Provet Cloud as a way to elevate our operations and workflows." said Matthew Moon, Hospital Managing Director. “We’re looking forward to be moving to the forefront of veterinary technology with a comprehensive solution that will integrate seamlessly with our current applications and technologies. As an academic institution, shared visibility of real-time information will help deliver for our education and research programmes, whilst providing the highest levels of excellence in animal care. We also feel it is important to ensure our students are given opportunities to work and learn on the latest technologies and equipment possible. With Provet Cloud, we feel confident we are giving them this opportunity, which will help better prepare them as veterinary scientists for their careers ahead."
